The most surprising part of this piece was that I had no idea that there was a neo-Nazi group march in New York city. I believe the Nazi’s should be allowed to march. It’s their freedom of speech. It’s their beliefs and they shouldn’t be removed of their rights. I believe it’s best for them to march because not only are they telling everyone their beliefs, they are revealing themselves to everyone that they are the enemy. It’s best to know who too look out for, and cross the street when you see them coming. Taking away their freedom to march is basically taking away their rights. Not only are they taking away their rights they are also taking away our right to know who our enemy is. They will continue on believing their beliefs, and if taken away there right to march they will only continue, but in secrecy. Its best for them to march, because they are putting a giant target in their foreheads.

This may lead to an all out war between neo-Nazis and anti neo-Nazis. However that’s a risk that will have to be taken due to the security of freedom of speech.

I’m not sure which modern debate this is related to, however it does remind me of the Chase Harper segment, and the situation with letting gay couples marry. the idea of taking away the freedom of speech and hatred towards a certain group of people.

Wag the Dog

The movie starts off with an explanation of why a dog wags its tail. It briefly explains that the dog wags its tail because the dog is smarter than its tail, and if the tail was smarter than the dog, then the tail would wag the dog. This had no meaning to me when I first saw it. I pain no mind to it, however, this explanation made a lot of sense after the movie. This explanation and the title of the movie is basically stating that someone is smarter than the dog, therefore the dog is being wagged, in other words the dog is being manipulated. The dog represents the public and the media, because all throughout the movie the media and public believed anything the spin doctor Conrad Brean played by Robert DeNiro wanted them too. The situation was always in control. I thought the name of this movie was purposeless, I was wrong. The title of this movie perfectly sums up the point of this movie, manipulation.

The movie starts off with Conrad meeting with the presidents people. He automatically begins his plan to get the president out of trouble. He’s coming up with ideas of the top of his head. He then comes up with the perfect idea, to have everyone forget about the firefly girl sexual allegations against the president. In the next scene there was a press conference, and at that press conference every question asked to the president’s representative was about the “situation with Albania”. At this point of the movie the media has completely been manipulated. Not one reporter asked about the sexual allegations.

Conrad Brean puts his plan in affect and decides to hire a well respected producer Stanley Motts played by Dustin Hoffman. He agrees to produce Conrad war, he also agrees not to speak or mention this to anyone. The movie goes on with everything going as planned by Conrad Brean and Stanley Motts. The media and the public have completely been manipulated. They are feeling sympathy and sorrow for and actress who they believe to be a rape victim. The CIA puts a stop to Corneal Brean and his plans; they confronted Corneal and Winifred Ames played by Anne Heche, however with a couple of wise words and strong arguments, Corneal Bread persuaded the CIA to their side: or so they thought. The CIA decided to put an end to the war, which was done by having Senator Neal played by Craig Nelson appear on television and telling everyone that the war was over.

Stanley Motts comes up with an idea to have the situation in Albania continue by creating a war hero. This war hero turns out to be Sergeant William Schumann played by Woody Harrelson. Once again the media and public are manipulated. Stanley Motts in my opinion is a better spin doctor than Corneal Brean, because at times where Corneal wanted to give up, Stanley came up with all the ideas, thus saving the president’s run for re-election. The president was ahead of his competition by 87 %, and all the credit was given to his campaign commercials, which states “You can’t change horses mid stream”. Stanley Motts was outraged and decided he was going to be credited for his best work, which resulted to his death. At the end of the day the president won the re-election, however Stanley Motts and Sergeant Schumann were both killed, and a real Albanian terrorist group was created. Ironic?

This movie was dramatic comedy. I will have to admit that this movie gave me a few laughs, especially when Woody Harrelson made his appearance. However, it’s pretty sad. It’s sad to me because, who knows how true this movie is. The media and public were completely manipulated. They believed every single word that was fed to them.

This movie made me think about horrific events of the past such September 11. That tragedy could have been staged. Thus creating an enemy, such as the Taliban etc.. At the end of the movie real terrorist groups called Albania unite were formed. This reminds me of the question I ask myself if there was no batman would there be a joker? A villain is always created after the birth of a hero. The president was portrayed to be the hero who stopped the war and brought back a war hero, thus forming a real terror.

I began watching this movie with the idea that I would see a spin doctor in action. I thought that this would be the perfect movie to demonstrate to me a spin doctor’s job, which I did. However with that being said, this movie opened my eyes to a lot more questions and realizations. Could this possibly happen, I find myself asking. I started thinking about times when Bush got in trouble with the public and all eyes was on him, the next story that followed was another rape allegation against Michael Jackson by a boy. Was Michael Jackson a scapegoat for President Bush? The funny thing about it was it worked. Michael Jackson’s rape allegation were always more important than what boring ol’ Bush was doing. A man was killed in order to have the President re-elected. Who is to decide that a man job/title is more important than another man’s life? Who knows what actually goes on? This movie was a very good movie, the perfect example of satire.

The season of Dexter was amazing. I was introduced to a brand new idea, that a serial killer kills serial killers. This idea has some similarities to the Saw movies, however the Jigsaw killer doesn’t go after serial killers only, so that’s a difference between the two. It’s a really good idea when a killer believes what they are doing is right. Dexter absolutely believes he is cleansing the world of scum, and to be honest he is. I will most definitely follow up this series.

The blogging experience was also something new to me. It was enjoyable. Being able to share my ideas and feelings were wonderful. I might continue blogging, but I’m not sure I’m pretty lazy.

It was amazing to me how my feelings for some characters change. I hate Doakes, he annoys me. Officer Angel is the man, I wonder if his wife will ever truly accept him. I connected with many of the characters of this show. I felt their pain, and saw their lives. Debbie, I hope she can find true love. Heck, I’ll make myself available.

It was a wonderful experience watching this show. I rate this show all together a perfect 5.

Wow. What an amazing ending. Dexter kills his brother. He chose Debra over his real brother. It was the most action packed episode. Nobody knows the truth about Dexter and Brian/Rudy. Brian is Rudy’s true name.

I love the way Dexter caught Brian. It was brilliant. He caught him with Brian’s own fake body parts. Instead of getting a blood sample, he didn’t. He made it seem that Brian killed himself. He laid his forehead on his brother’s forehead as his brother was dying. Doake’s is very annoying. If one day Dexter ends up getting caught, it will be because of him. The season ended with a bang. The Ice Truck Killer was caught. Dexter found out the truth about his past. I wonder what else can they possibly have in store in the other seasons. Rita is listening to Paul, Paul is harassing her with the idea that Dexter is dangerous. He is absolutely right. Maybe Doakes wont be the only one who will be responsible for Dexter one day being caught. Paul and Rita might play a role.

Dexter kills his brother the same way he kills all his other victims. His brother was a serial killer, so according to Dexter and his father’s rules, Brian most definitely deserved to be killed.

Born Free is a confusing title, but maybe is describing that Dexter is now reborn. He now knows the truth of his past, and can now move on. He knows about his father. He remembers his mother’s death, and he saw and killed his psychopathic brother. I want to know what will happen with the characters I have grown to hate and love. Will Rita find out the truth about Dexter. Will Debra? Will Dexter kill Doakes because of him being so suspicious of Dexter’s true identity. This episode was an amazing finish to a really good series.

Dexter killing his brother was sad to me. I thought it was sad because that was his true family. A jealousy factor played a major role between Debra and Brian. It was as if they were fighting for Dexter’s love. In the end Debra won Dexter’s love.

I rate this episode a perfect 5. It was an action packed ending to a series that i will follow. I have to know what happens next!

Cody runs away and it seems like Rita and Dexter’s relationship is falling. I cant believe, that everything is about to go down. Rudy wants to propose to Debra. I feel bad for her. She needs to open her eyes and stop being so damn desperate for love. Rudy is using her and it’s sad to see this. Rudy is a mastermind, and thus far he is playing everyone. If it wasn’t revealed that he was the Ice Truck Killer, he would have been playing me also . That idea just pisses me off.

Rudy identity is finally revealed to both Dexter and Debra, too bad its too late to Debra. She is already in his hands when she finds out.

What is the mystery behind Rudy. I think that he is probably Dexter’s brother. They have too much in common, and why else would Rudy go after Debra. Why else would he remind Dexter of his past. Everything points to the fact that Dexter and Rudy are related. It’s a family struggle. I’m not sure that I’m right, but it’s starting to make sense that they are related. Now everything is coming together. Dexter and Debra are both realizing how stupid they are. Idiots! The killer was in their face the whole time. It reminds me of the time when I was looking for my glasses, when they were on my fore head the whole time. I felt like an idiot. So I can image how Dexter and Debra feel. Especially Debra, she got deeply romantically involved with someone who cared nothing for her.

I rate this episode a 5. It’s towards the end and everything is finally happening.

This was an action packed episode. All the missing blood of the prostitutes were found. The Ice Truck Killer aka Rudy set Dexter up for a crime scene which brings back old memories of Dexter’s buried past. Dexter witnessed his mother’s murder. It’s sad because if that would’ve never happened maybe Dexter wouldn’t have turned out to be a serial killer who kills other serial killers.

Angel is starting to become my favorite character. He found a clue that lead him to suspect that Rudy is the Ice Truck Killer. He saw a prostitute that had a fake arm, and on the fake arm the nails were painted the same way the Ice Truck Killer painted. Did Rudy do this on purpose? Or Did he slip? Angel is on to something. It annoys me watching shows like this, because it makes me want to scream he’s the killer you idiot!

I’m surprised to say that Rita is charged for assaulting Paul. This is very shocking because, In the last episode Paul was showing signs of going back to his old habits. I don’t know how this is going to affect Rita, but it can’t be good. Paul is planning to take the kids. Rita shouldn’t worry too much, she has Dexter on her side. So it’s either Dexter ki9lls Paul, or he’s going to do something to erase him from the picture.

Just as I thought Debra is getting mad that Rudy is spending more time with Dexter. Another moment where I feel like screaming into the screen, he’s the killer you idiot!

There is so much to talk about, because everyone has their story. Dexter injects Paul with heroin, and gets Paul in big trouble with the law. Paul is an idiot for messing with Rita, he’s lucky Dexter didn’t make sure he disappear for good. Maybe Dexter could have been a suspect, so maybe it’s a good idea he didn’t kill Paul.

Its very ironic that Dexter faints when he sees all that blood. His passion is to collect blood, so for him to faint is very ironic. Dexter is hanging out with someone he is looking for. I find that hilarious.

I rate this episode a 5. It was action packed. I think everything is about to come. Of coarse it is the season is about to end

I finally Know who the Ice truck killer is. It’s the Dr. that Debra is dating. I would’ve never guess that. The way episode eight ended, made me want to watch episode nine more. I have to know whats going to happen.

Doakes is acting very suspicious. His story doesn’t add up. He told everyone he saw a gun on the man waist, however, I was paying close attention to the man, and didn’t see a gun at all. To me it looked more personal, as if he knew the man. There’s something funny about Doakes.

Now that I know that Rudy is the Ice truck killer, It’s sad to see him and Debra. Debra is so desperate for a good relationship, every guy she goes out is not what they seem. The show is trying to illustrate that because, they made sure to show us Debra’s previously relationship with a married man. Debra also has a little jealousy going towards Dexter so, since Rudy is only using her to get close to Dexter, I wont be surprised if Debra takes out her frustrations on Dexter.

Rudy and Dexter are getting along. I’m not surprised, they have so much in common. Its funny that the neighbor thinks Rudy looks familiar. Why would Rudy look familiar at Dexter’s biological father’s neighborhood. I’m starting to suspect maybe Dexter and Rudy have a lot more in common other than they both being serial killers.

Debbie is mad at Dexter because of him trying to find out if this man is his true father or not. She starts yelling at him saying she is his only family. At the same time Rudy is telling Dexter that no matter what Debra and Harry said, his true father is Joe, and Dexter knows it. I’m starting to get a feeling that Dexter is about to make a tough decision. He’s gonna have to choose between the family that took care of him, and his real family. The title of every episode always describes the episode. Father knows best is basically stating that maybe Harry knew what was best keeping the truth away from Dexter and Debra.

Debra will never lose faith in father, Dexter is revealing his past. Debra should let him continue with finding out the truth. Harry played a major role in Dexter’s life

I rate this episode a 4. I give it a four because, this episode is about realization. Dexter is realizing the truth. This episode is what I like to call a build up episode. It’s building up the audience for something huge.

I believe a student should wear whatever they want. The school officials overreacted to the situation. Chase shouldn’t have gotten suspended or even sent to the principle office. Telling him that wearing his shirt was wrong, was basically taking away his freedom of speech. None of Chase’s classmate/schoolmates reported that they were offended by Chase’s shirt. It’s not as if he physically or verbally abused anyone, I wonder if a homosexual person would’ve worn a shirt that said “Gay is the way to go” or “being Gay is Great” would there be any controversy.

If anyone would’ve been offended by the shirt and reported it to an elder they would most likely be labeled homophobic. I understand some shirts should be banned or not allowed, but what Chase wrote wasn’t that horrible. It was his opinion on a topic he felt strongly about. he shouldn’t be oppressed for his beliefs.

High school is a market place of ideas. When in high school everyone knows the latest trends, and everything there is to know to make yourself “knowledgeable”. Anyone should be able to wear whatever they want. It doesn’t matter how offensive a shirt cud be to my opinion. If you have a problem with what the shirt is saying, just look away.

A shirt does have the ability to incite the words they are promoting. It mostly depends on how easily the person whose reading the shirt is easily persuaded. If I were a teacher I would’ve never have noticed his shirt in the first place. However, I wouldn’t have done anything unless a student came up to me and told me that Case’s shirt was bothering them. As a student, I would keep any comment to myself. It’s not my business what another person is wearing. As a juror I would find him not guilty. Freedom of speech is what it is called. Chase Harper should be allowed to wear whatever he wants.

I’m not sure but I think Paul is going to win the battle between him and Dexter for Rita. She seems like the type to be easily persuaded and she also will do anything to make her kids happy. They kids love the fact that their dad is back so maybe their wish might be granted. It’s not looking good for my boy Dexter. I know for a fact now he has true feelings for Rita. He is always there when she calls. He babysits her kids, he thinks about her all the time. He is always thinking of ways to make her happy. Dexter has feelings.

Dexter has found his next victim. This time it’s a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist is killing his patience and making it look like an ordinary suicide. Dexter decides to become a patient. In my opinion he most definitely needs it. I know he’s trying to find out the truth about the psychiatrist but he should take his sessions seriously, maybe it will help his psycho ass.

Dexter, Rita, and Paul are all in the same room, how awkward. Paul is making a return in the kid lives and is slowly regaining control. He got Rita to cancel her plans with Dexter. I don’t like how this is going. Dexter might lose someone he truly cares about. Whoa Rita is making up to Dexter by having sex with him. However Dexter chickens out yet again. he has enough evidence he needs to kill the shrink, but he doesn’t. He goes back to him for more advice. The shrink actually helps Dexter. Dexter finally gets laid. I thought he was a virgin, but Dexter made it clear that all his past sexual encounters found out the truth about him. They all realized he was nothing but an empty shell. No wonder he’s so afraid of having sex with Rita, he doesn’t want to lose her. I knew he cared for her.

Since the shrink helped him get over his fear of sex, maybe he will let him go. Dexter just told the psychiatrist he’s a serial killer. he killed the shrink. I guess Dexter only cares for Rita and has no remorse for anyone else. He kills his victims slowly. That proves how evil he is.

A shocking twist of events Debra is dating the Ice Truck Killer. She is so close to the killer, but so far away. I cant wait for the next episode

I rate this episode a perfect 5. It had everything drama, action, mystery, suspense, and sex all combined in one perfect episode. I finally know who the ice truck killer is. the wait was worth it. Now I have to know how Dexter catches him.

There’s an awkward moment between Dexter and the kids real father. I knew he would end up[ showing up. Things were going to well for Dexter and Rita. The Dad is trying to get back into his families life. I feel for him. That’s his wife, his kids, and his house. He should have the right to fight for it. Even though what he did was horrible, beating the crap out of Rita daily, everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves.

Neil Perry is the suspect. Debra once again has found a major clue to find a suspect. everything is pointing to him. His home, everything is evidence that Perry is the ice Truck Killer. However, Dexter doesn’t believe that perry is the notorious Ice Truck killer. Dexter is being delusional. It clearly is the guy. He even gave a confession. Why would someone take the fall for someone else?

I rate this a 5

That kid Jeremy killed again. Jeremy was one of Dexter rare victims that he let go. He found out Jeremy killed the guy only because the guy raped him. So Dexter felt that the guy killed deserved to die, so he basically let him go. However Jeremy killed another kid. Dexter seems disappointed. I can’t believe I was as delusional as Dexter. Like he was going to listen to Dexter.

The drama between Dexter and Rita’s ex continues. Dexter wouldn’t allow Paul to see the kids without Rita’s permission. Paul tried to punk out Dexter by throwing a fake punch, but Dexter basically invited the punch and didn’t flinch. That was very bad ass of Dexter.

In this episode Dexter is becoming lonely. He wants some one he can connect with. He calls Jeremy and Neil Perry his colleagues. I knew this would happen. Dexter wants someone he can share his dreams with, just like the Cuban killers couple. He sees himself in Jeremy. I thought Jeremy resembled Dexter at that age, but never took it into consideration that Jeremy is just like Dexter. The only difference is that Jeremy didn’t have a Harry. Jeremy is a symbol of what Dexter would’ve became if Harry didn’t take care of him.

Jeremy killed himself. he couldn’t take empty feeling I guess.

Since Jeremy is gone Neil is the only person he can connect with. He visits Neil, and to my surprise Neil has no idea who the hell Dexter is. Neil Perry is not The Ice truck Killer!

I rate this episode a 5
